Kinaxis, a global provider of the RapidResponse® supply chain SaaS platform, faced a major infrastructure bottleneck: its legacy storage couldn’t deliver the I/O needed to complete virtualization efforts, caused long troubleshooting delays, and required a costly rip‑and‑replace upgrade that would increase data center footprint and power costs.

Kinaxis deployed three Nimble Storage CS460 arrays (one for production, two for R&D/DR), which met performance needs in a quick proof‑of‑concept and were live in under an hour. The change delivered enough I/O to support VDI and ongoing growth, reduced provisioning time from a month to an hour, cut data center footprint and power use (saving about $1,500/month or $18,000/year), doubled effective capacity via compression, and improved support and operational agility.
