Yas Mall Enhances Retail Experience for Shoppers with Mall-Wide Public Wi-Fi Based on Aruba Wireless Technologies

Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi wanted to improve the shopping experience by giving thousands of daily visitors fast, easy Wi‑Fi across its 2.5 million square foot property. Key challenges included supporting very high densities of simultaneous connections, seamless roaming, reliable coverage, and eliminating time‑consuming manual configuration and updates of individual access points while creating a platform for future mobile engagement.

Aruba provided an integrated solution—802.11ac (220‑series) APs with ClientMatch, 7200 Mobility Controllers and AirWave network management—installed by MDS Systems Integration. The rollout delivered 1.3 Gbps capacity and seamless mall‑wide coverage, automated AP management and centralized monitoring, resulting in popular, reliable public Wi‑Fi, reduced IT overhead and a flexible platform for new mobile and social‑media initiatives.
