A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
USM, a Swiss designer and manufacturer best known for its USM Haller modular furniture (part of MoMA’s collection), needed to modernize its network to support collaboration across offices and showrooms, untether factory workers from fixed workstations, and provide secure, role‑based access for mobile devices — all while enforcing global standards, simplifying IT operations and enabling rapid opening of new locations.
Working with Aruba and partner BNC, USM deployed ClearPass, AirWave, Aruba switches and AP‑205/AP‑315 Instant APs to create a unified, automated network. The rollout delivered a stable IoT platform in the Münsingen factory, consistent global mobility and smarter role‑based access for guests and staff, and a standards‑based, “network‑in‑a‑box” approach that simplifies scaling, saves costs and speeds new site launches.
