A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Casa is a leading European homewares retailer with more than 500 stores that is rapidly expanding while pursuing an omni-channel strategy. Faced with the move to a new, much larger HQ and a 50,000sqm centralised distribution centre, Casa needed a mobile-first, reliable network to support automation, IoT, handheld devices, driverless vehicles and secure role-based access — all while scaling operations without increasing headcount.
Working with AXI and Aruba, Casa deployed Aruba Instant APs in 200+ stores, controller-based wireless in HQ and the warehouse, HPE FlexFabric switches, AirWave/IMC management and ClearPass for automated secure access. The unified network enabled a faster HQ/warehouse cutover with no downtime, standardized connectivity across stores, and drove automation (about one-third of the new DC is now automated) including voice picking and driverless forklifts, paperless workflows, 24/7 operations and easier, centrally managed security and IoT onboarding.
