A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Vössing is a family-owned German civil engineering firm with about 20 international offices that needed to give dispersed project teams fast, reliable access to large CAD files and cloud services. The IT team faced rising central bandwidth costs, complex multi-vendor management, and a desire to move to a cloud-native, as-a-service model while enabling direct internet breakout at the branch and zero-touch deployment for sites and construction locations.
Vössing implemented an Aruba SD‑Branch solution—cloud-native Aruba Central, branch and headend gateways, campus switches, APs, ClearPass and policy firewall—to unify Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN and security with zero-touch provisioning. The result is a hardware‑less core and single-node edge that moved core services to the cloud, consolidated operations in a single pane of glass (including 20 firewalls), eliminated leased-line terminations, cut bandwidth costs by about one third, and delivered consistent, high-performance access for users across all sites.
