A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
The English School, a 1,750‑student International Baccalaureate school in Bogota, set out to expand its personalized‑learning program but found its legacy network could not support a growing 1:1 iPad initiative, SMART boards and a surge in student‑owned devices across indoor and outdoor campus spaces. The challenge was to deliver high‑density, secure, and easily managed Wi‑Fi that would enable seamless mobility, classroom collaboration and sustained curriculum transformation.
The school upgraded to an Aruba 802.11ac Wi‑Fi fabric with ClientMatch, Mobility Controllers and enterprise tools ClearPass and AirWave, deploying roughly five times the previous number of APs to cover every classroom and high‑density areas. The result is pervasive, gigabit wireless with secure BYOD onboarding, centralized management and faster troubleshooting — outcomes that have increased digital classroom content, boosted student motivation and IB performance, and positioned the school as a regional model for technology‑driven learning.
