A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

The Aruba Mobility Infrastructure Improves and Personalizes the Guest Experience

Emirates Palace, an iconic Abu Dhabi hotel that hosts royalty, heads of state and large conferences, faced growing guest demand for high‑speed Wi‑Fi. Its legacy, non‑centralized network required manual configuration of more than 1,000 access points and provided only 54 Mbps, causing performance and security issues during peaks of 1,200–1,400 daily users.

Working with Aruba and partner MDS UAE, the hotel deployed an Aruba 7000 Mobility Controller, 1,000+ Aruba AP‑225 access points and AirWave network management to centralize administration, strengthen security and upgrade capacity to 1.3 Gbps. The rollout delivered seamless, property‑wide coverage (including a 1.3 km beach), simplified operations, virtually eliminated performance complaints and created a platform for future services like IPTV, streaming and smart‑room control.
