A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando is an 18th‑century institution with five centuries of art—over 1,500 paintings, 1,300 sculptures and thousands of works—facing the challenge of making its vast collection accessible and engaging for modern visitors without affecting the historic building. The museum wanted a fully interactive, mobile-first guide to improve wayfinding, interpretation and accessibility for varied audiences.
They deployed Aruba’s Mobile Engagement solution—Meridian platform, Aruba Beacons, Instant 115 Wi‑Fi APs and ClearPass—together with the Museum Experience app to provide indoor navigation, turn‑by‑turn guidance, multilingual audio/text content, and sub‑meter location accuracy. The project lets visitors download the app on arrival, follow custom itineraries, and access updated exhibition info, while curators gain visitor analytics, remote beacon management and operational insights—improving engagement, accessibility and planning and positioning the museum as a technology leader.
