A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
TECOM Investments, a Dubai Holding company that manages 11 business parks including Dubai Internet City and Dubai Design District, faced a struggling legacy wireless environment. With over 1,000 employees and rapid BYOD adoption, four decentralized networks could not handle the surge in laptops, tablets and smartphones, resulting in slow connectivity, security gaps and rising maintenance costs.
TECOM deployed Aruba Mobility Controllers and 130 access points in a two‑phase rollout to centralize the wireless network, boost bandwidth and enable enterprise mobility and security. The implementation delivered faster, more reliable connectivity, stronger access control and intrusion detection, simplified management and lower infrastructure costs — scoring 34/36 on TECOM’s network tests — and has prompted plans to further upgrade the Aruba controllers.
