A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem’s largest hospital, faced the challenge of modernising wired and wireless networks across a growing 20-acre campus to support seamless mobility of staff, devices and patients while keeping the environment secure and open to third‑party innovators. Rapid expansion and the COVID‑19 crisis intensified the need for a 100% reliable, easily managed network that could quickly create quarantined zones, extend coverage to new clinical areas and enable telemedicine and large‑scale data-sharing for research.
Using the Aruba Edge Services Platform (Wi‑Fi 6 AP‑515s, Aruba controllers and Mobility Conductor, campus switches, AirWave/NetEdit), the hospital implemented scalable, remotely managed connectivity with zero‑touch provisioning and role‑based dynamic segmentation/NAC. The deployment let IT add access points in days, supported a 60‑bed emergency ward and rapid telemedicine roll‑out, enabled vaccine tracking and biobank collaboration, and delivered greater stability, security and real‑time visibility to underpin ongoing innovation.
