“Smart Living-as-a-Service” innovator is transforming the multifamily connectivity paradigm with Aruba ESP, Central and UXI

Homebase, a Kansas City–based “Smart Living-as-a-Service” (SLaaS) provider, is transforming multifamily and vacation rental living by delivering app-enabled building automation and Wi‑Fi-as-a-utility across a growing North American portfolio. To make every unit instantly connected and support existing and emerging IoT services, Homebase needed a reliable, secure, cloud-managed wired and wireless network that could scale rapidly, integrate with its mobile-gateway approach, and give business users simple real-time tools for provisioning and troubleshooting.

Homebase partnered with Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, deploying Aruba ESP with Wi‑Fi 6 indoor/outdoor APs and RAPs, Aruba 2930F and 3810 switches, Aruba Central, UXI sensors and ClearPass. The solution delivered a future-ready platform for SLaaS, increased property net operating income and values, and operational efficiencies—saving about 120 minutes per unit turnover and 20 minutes per maintenance ticket—while providing intuitive management, rapid scaling, and the ability to adopt new smart-building innovations quickly.
