A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Quakertown Community School District Case Study

Silence is golden Being ahead of the technology curve delivers zero complaints at QCSD

Quakertown Community School District (QCSD), a 5,500‑student district north of Philadelphia, needed to replace an aging Cisco wireless infrastructure while supporting a long‑running 1:1 Chromebook program and a growing number of IoT devices (VoIP, HVAC, door locks, alarms, etc.). With end‑of‑life gear and unsatisfactory vendor support, IT leadership sought fast, reliable Wi‑Fi, better wired switching, simple policy management, and a more responsive vendor.

QCSD ran an Aruba proof‑of‑concept and deployed 500+ APs (indoor/outdoor), ArubaOS 8, 3810M switches, ClearPass, AirWave, NetInsight and Aruba Foundation Care. The new platform—using AI/ML features like AirMatch and NetInsight—delivered seamless roaming, always‑on connectivity for ~7,000 clients and IoT devices, zero connectivity complaints during testing and fewer maintenance hours for the IT team.
