A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Carl Fuhr (FUHR) is a German specialist manufacturer of mechanical door locks that needed to modernise its wired and wireless network to support digitalisation of production, logistics and a hybrid workplace. Its legacy network was slow, unstable and overly manual, with limited Wi‑Fi and weak security, limiting the company’s ability to add IoT devices, scale cloud services and reduce operational burden.
Working with Aruba and a managed-service partner, FUHR deployed an Aruba ESP architecture—Aruba CX core, 2930F access switches, Wi‑Fi 6 AP‑500 access points, ClearPass and Aruba Central—for a secure, cloud‑managed LAN/WLAN with Zero Trust and Zero Touch provisioning. The upgrade unified infrastructure, improved visibility and security, sped incident response by 20%, enabled a five‑day Office 365 rollout, doubled connected handheld scanners and freed staff to focus on higher‑value digital projects while creating a platform for future IoT and production initiatives.
