Case Study: Cedar Rapids Country Club achieves reliable, scalable Gigabit outdoor Wi‑Fi and streamlined operations with HPE Aruba Networking

A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Cedar Rapids Country Club Case Study

Rugged outdoor Aruba Instant solution provides reliable, cost-effective and secure Gigabit Wi-Fi

Cedar Rapids Country Club, an Iowa private club with an 18‑hole Donald Ross course, tennis courts, pool and dining, was struggling with unreliable or non-existent outdoor Wi‑Fi. The patchy coverage forced staff to take paper orders, caused POS database corruption and long dining delays, prevented guest access at pool and remote venues, and created operational and customer service headaches.

Working with integrator Erb’s Technology Solutions, the Club deployed rugged Aruba 802.11ac Instant outdoor access points and HPE OfficeConnect switches for a secure, zero‑touch, scalable WLAN. The result is reliable Gigabit Wi‑Fi across outdoor locations, separated guest and POS traffic, eliminated manual transactions and POS outages, improved staff satisfaction and member experience, and the ability to expand coverage for new services.
