A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Reynolds, a leading UK food distributor and wholesaler, faced a demanding connectivity challenge: its warehouse operations depend entirely on mobile devices for picking, deliveries and proof of delivery, yet the steel‑clad, densely racked facilities (and recent business growth and new warehouses) made reliable Wi‑Fi difficult. The IT team also had to add Android devices and guest access while completing an upgrade within a single 12‑hour weekend cutover window.
Reynolds and IT partner Vanix staged a carefully surveyed rollout, reusing some kit and deploying two Aruba 7210 controllers, nearly 100 new 802.11ac access points, Aruba AirWave monitoring and 24/7 NOC support. The rehearsed switch‑over was seamless, delivering much higher capacity and speeds, consistent device connectivity even in full warehouses, simplified guest access via a captive portal and RADIUS, and reduced administrative overhead.
