Case Study: Patrick Terminals achieves autonomous, efficient and secure terminal operations with HPE Aruba Networking

A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Patrick Terminals Case Study

Patrick Terminals brings new levels of automation and agility to terminal operations

Patrick Terminals, Australia’s leading container terminal operator, needed to orchestrate thousands of 30-ton containers across a busy quayside with high precision, safety, and near‑real‑time responsiveness. The business challenge was to support autonomous yard equipment, integrate complex real‑time data from shipping lines, trucks and regulators, and remain agile to fluctuating demand — all while running with a lean IT team and minimizing latency for critical operations.

Working with Vectec and HPE GreenLake, Patrick built an on‑premises, as‑a‑service private cloud using composable infrastructure, Primera storage, StoreOnce backup and Aruba networking, plus dedicated account support. This solution enabled instant capacity for critical updates, faster processing for autonomous equipment, improved reliability and security, and reduced reporting and operational costs — delivering more accurate container placement, fuel and time savings for customers, and greater agility to meet evolving business needs.
