A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Parc Astérix, France’s second-largest amusement park spanning 97 hectares and serving over two million visitors a year, needed to modernize its network to support thousands of staff and guests, improve security, and make real‑time operational decisions across attractions, hotels and retail outlets. The IT team’s challenge was to replace aging infrastructure with a scalable, manageable system that reduces downtime, simplifies administration, and prepares the park for new digital services.
The park deployed an HPE Aruba Networking architecture—over 200 CX switches across 160 technical rooms, plus Aruba Central, ClearPass and Aruba ESP with Zero‑Touch Provisioning—to centralize security, automate policies and speed device provisioning. The upgrade delivered optimized, secure connectivity, faster troubleshooting, real‑time visitor data for crowd and queue management, reduced admin overhead, and a sustainable equipment buyback/refurbish program, positioning Parc Astérix for future services like expanded Wi‑Fi, geolocation and more cameras.
