A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Rugby School, one of the UK’s oldest independent schools (founded 1567), is a modern, highly connected campus ringed by 15 km of OM1 fiber. The school needed to support device-heavy, content-rich teaching—streaming, cloud-based platforms and remote communications—while accommodating network growth, future-proofing capacity and reducing the burden on a small in-house IT team.
Rugby deployed an Aruba OS-CX switching environment (8400 and 2930F series) with AirWave network management. The new architecture delivers scalable bandwidth for modern teaching, simplifies and automates configuration, frees IT resources for innovation, and guarantees high performance—reducing VLAN configuration effort by an estimated 50–70% and making it easy to add capacity as needed.
