A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Omnia Group, a 60‑year‑old South African industrial firm active across 17 African countries and worldwide, set out to digitize its agriculture, chemicals and mining operations but was held back by ageing, multivendor networks. The company needed to standardize infrastructure, support a Mobile‑First culture and scale for IoT, mobile devices and expanding business operations without compromising performance or security.
Omnia standardized on HPE/Aruba networking—deploying Aruba access points, controllers, switches plus ClearPass and AirWave, refreshed cabling and used HPE Financial Services for a consumption‑style model. The upgraded, centrally managed network delivered higher performance, mobility and security, enabled IoT pilots and location‑based services, increased VoIP/Skype use (reducing travel costs), lowered management overhead and readied the business for future digital farming and expansion.
