A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
MTC Australia is a not‑for‑profit that provides training, employment services and community programs, operating with over 500 staff across 30 sites. In 2013 the organisation adopted a cloud‑focused strategy and needed a robust, secure, high‑performance wireless network to support notebooks, tablets and smartphones, simplify device onboarding, handle high‑density traffic and deliver quality of service for Microsoft Lync.
Working with AKCS, MTC rolled out Aruba Networks’ 802.11ac Wi‑Fi and AirWave network management across all 30 locations, bringing automated authentication and centralized monitoring. The result is fast, reliable, set‑and‑forget wireless that increased staff mobility and collaboration, supports Lync voice and video, simplified management of multivendor networks, and delivered cost savings (for example avoiding costly re‑cabling); guest access via ClearPass is planned.
