A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Jihlava Hospital is a 706‑bed regional hospital in the Czech Republic serving over 330,000 outpatients annually and performing 8,000 operations a year. Because virtually every clinical and operational system depends on the network, the hospital struggled with an aging, unstable infrastructure, limited monitoring, and the need to tighten data protection ahead of EU GDPR—making reliable, visible, and easy mobility essential.
The hospital deployed an Aruba end‑to‑end Mobile First solution (802.11ac APs, campus/core switches, ClearPass and AirWave) to simplify access, centralize visibility and strengthen security. The new network now supports 100+ critical healthcare applications (HIS, imaging, labs), improves throughput and uptime, enables IoT pilots and a push toward paperless workflows, and provides the visibility and controls needed to meet regulatory requirements.
