A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
ACTS Retirement‑Life Communities, a 28‑location organization serving about 6,000 staff and 8,200 residents across the East and South, needed a secure, high‑performance wireless network to support telephony, mobile devices, healthcare workflows and guest BYOD. Its legacy deployment of roughly 200 access points couldn’t scale to meet expanding mobility, security and operational requirements.
ACTS selected Aruba’s controllerless Instant APs with Mobility Access Switches plus ClearPass and AirWave, planning ~4,000 APs and 300 switches. The zero‑touch Instant APs and centralized policy/management cut deployment and maintenance effort, enabled bedside charting, guest access and Wi‑based telephony (saving ~ $15,000 per location in wiring), and created a scalable, secure platform ready for 802.11ac and location‑based services—improving care, operations and costs.
