Preview of the Hubert Company Case Study

High-performance, cost-effective Aruba Instant APs deliver Wi-Fi that benefits e-tailer’s bottom line

Hubert Company, an e‑commerce retailer with five locations across the U.S. and Canada, was struggling with aging Wi‑Fi that couldn’t meet growing needs in offices, a call center and large distribution warehouses. The company needed a cost‑effective, secure, high‑performance wireless solution that could be centrally managed by a single administrator and support business uses such as voice over Wi‑Fi and mobile barcode scanning.

Hubert deployed Aruba Instant Access Points in a controller‑less design, backed by ClearPass for secure access control and AirWave for centralized management, with remote sites connected via VPN. The rollout (including a 135,000 sq. ft. distribution center) was fast and cost 25% less than the nearest alternative; the result is “rock‑solid” Wi‑Fi that improved fulfillment efficiency, reduced wired port reliance, enabled guest/IoT segmentation and let IT manage the entire network from a single pane of glass.
