A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Dawson County Schools Case Study

High-achieving Georgia school district addresses rapidly evolving curriculum demands with Aruba CX, Central and UXI

Dawson County Schools, a high‑achieving charter district in Dawsonville, GA serving about 3,700 students across seven schools and five administrative sites, needed to replace an aging core network and legacy Wi‑Fi to support expanding STEM, AR/VR, a new Agriculture Center, a 1:1 device strategy, and growing community and athletics connectivity—all with a small IT team.

The district deployed Aruba CX 6400 switches, Wi‑Fi 6 and 300 Series outdoor APs, Aruba Central with AIOps, UXI sensors and ArubaOS‑CX to create a unified, AI‑driven network. The upgrade enabled zero‑touch AP provisioning (days to minutes), cut troubleshooting from hours to seconds, provided scalable 40/100GbE readiness, centralized cloud video uploads for buses, and delivered reliable, secure connectivity for classrooms, IoT and community use.
