Henkel Turns to Airwave to Manage a Worldwide Network

Henkel, a global consumer-products and adhesives company operating in more than 125 countries, needed a way to manage its upgraded wireless LAN that supports logistics, employee applications and guest access worldwide. The challenge was to provide full FCAPS (fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security) oversight from a central Network Operations Centre while still allowing local engineers in disparate regions to manage their own sites.

Henkel deployed Aruba’s AirWave Wireless Management Suite with a centralized NOC in Düsseldorf and role-based local delegation. AirWave now manages roughly 1,200+ access points across 75 locations and 5,000+ users, delivering a one‑screen global view, six‑month historical reporting, inventory and compliance reporting for 1,300+ devices. The result: faster fault diagnosis, streamlined WPA2 migration and device tracking, simplified compliance and guest‑user record keeping, and effective global FCAPS management.
