Preview of the Treant Zorggroep Case Study

Healthcare group accelerates its digital transformation, unifying its network across three hospitals

Treant Zorggroep, formed from the merger of three hospitals in the north‑east Netherlands, faced three different networks, vendors and growing demands for secure, high‑performance connectivity across hospitals and 17 care centres. The ICT team needed a centrally managed, resilient network to strengthen security, support many more connected devices, enable remote working and accelerate digital healthcare initiatives such as video consultations, IoT and asset tracking.

Treant adopted a unified Aruba infrastructure—Wi‑Fi 6 access points, Aruba controllers and switches, ClearPass access control, AirWave and UXI monitoring—supported by partner Zetacom. The result is one management console, role‑ and device‑based access policies, seamless live updates with no user disruption, improved application and video performance, faster troubleshooting and a future‑ready platform that enables remote care, asset tagging and better patient and staff experiences.
