Ensign Services, a subsidiary of The Ensign Group, supports more than 120 skilled nursing, assisted living and rehabilitative care facilities and needed a scalable, secure wireless platform to support rapid growth, migrate to PointClickCare and EMRs, and give therapists mobile access to patient tools while meeting HIPAA and guest-access requirements.

They standardized on Aruba, deploying about 800 access points and 100 controllers (with 50+ Instant APs for remote sites) and implemented physically separate staff and guest networks. The rollout enabled Wi‑Fi from day one at new acquisitions, improved real‑time care and new therapies like “Wii‑hab,” and delivered a reliable, compliant wireless foundation for clinical applications and electronic documentation.
