A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Göliska IT is a municipally owned IT service provider serving six Swedish municipalities whose services and staff have more than doubled as digital transformation, mobility and IoT demands have risen. Faced with a growing user base (from politicians and teachers to students and social workers), expanding IoT deployments and the need for high availability, the company needed a secure, scalable and easy-to-manage network that could support mobility and automate policy enforcement.
Göliska IT deployed an Aruba-based architecture—thousands of APs and campus switches, mobility controllers, AirWave for management, ClearPass for policy and MDM integration—plus Dynamic Segmentation and zero-touch provisioning. The result is a consolidated, centrally managed network (reducing multiple systems to one), automated role- and device-based access for staff, students and IoT, simplified operations, continued wireless expansion (2,300+ APs today, rising to ~2,800) and a platform that enables smart-city services while freeing IT resources for innovation.
