Globe Life Field delivers premier fan and guest experiences with intelligent, fast, secure Aruba ESP-based edge network

Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, is a 1.8 million‑square‑foot, 41,000‑seat stadium in Arlington, Texas that needed a future‑proof, hyper‑connected network to deliver world‑class fan experiences—mobile ticketing, contactless ordering, mixed‑reality apps and support for hundreds of IoT and business systems—while keeping IT and back‑office overhead low across 500 employees and 1,500 seasonal staff.

The Rangers deployed an Aruba ESP edge network (Aruba CX core/aggregation/edge switches, 1,300 Aruba 530 Wi‑Fi 6 APs, 7200 controllers, ClearPass, AirWave, NetEdit and UXI/AIOps) to automate and secure wired and wireless operations. The solution enabled managing ~400% more switch ports without adding staff, cut IPTV configuration from weeks to days—saving about $1M—provided high‑performance, secure connectivity for 200+ apps and IoT, and delivered a flexible, future‑ready platform for special events and ongoing innovation.
