Global manufacturer establishes central network control to accelerate digital transformation

SCHURTER, a global Swiss manufacturer of electronic components and systems, needed a consistent, high-performance network to accelerate digital transformation, ensure regulatory traceability, and better connect 21 companies across 17 countries. The company’s goals were to standardize networking, reduce management overhead and establish clear SLAs while enabling secure, real-time production data sharing across sites.

Partnering with BNC and Aruba, SCHURTER implemented Aruba CX core and access switches, Aruba 500-series APs, ClearPass and Aruba Central to create a reusable global network template. The rollout automated secure segmentation, delivered seamless mobility across offices, production and distribution sites, sped new-site onboarding, simplified third‑party integrations, and provided measurable SLAs — paving the way for Industry 4.0 initiatives and a future Network-as-a-Service model.
