A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Farnham Castle is a 900‑year‑old historic site in Surrey that operates an international briefing and conference centre. Faced with thick stone walls, strict preservation rules and a limit on cabling and access‑point density, the Castle needed a dependable, scalable WLAN to provide Internet access to delegates and guests without damaging the fabric of the monument.
The Castle deployed an Aruba MC‑800 controller with AP‑61 access points and Remote APs (RAPs) over existing broadband, enabling a three‑day rollout and later wireless coverage of remote guest rooms without invasive cabling. Aruba’s centralized management, Adaptive Radio Management and captive‑portal controls delivered reliable, easy‑managed Wi‑Fi across the site, meeting client needs and improving the visitor experience.
