A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Ajman University in the UAE sought to create one of the country’s most digitally advanced campuses to support hybrid learning, protect student wellbeing and meet regulatory and pandemic-related requirements. The university needed a consistent, reliable wireless experience across campus that could handle media-rich coursework, enable new location‑based services, and provide secure, dynamic access for different user groups.
The university deployed an Aruba Edge Services Platform—Wi‑Fi 6 access points with integrated Bluetooth beacons, AirWave, ClearPass and the Meridian location services—integrated with the MagiXEdu mobile app by IPMagiX. The solution powers facial‑recognition and beacon‑based attendance, wayfinding, push notifications and QR‑based access controls, while generating heatmaps and usage insights. Outcomes include campus‑wide, high‑bandwidth wireless for video streaming, accelerated digital teaching and remote learning, faster attendance registration (from up to 15 minutes to under 2), and data to inform future campus development and hybrid learning expansion.
