A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm with about 50,000 employees in 400 offices across 60 countries, faced a congested wide‑area network after rapid growth and acquisitions. All branch traffic was backhauled over MPLS to regional data centers, creating a bottleneck that hurt application performance, user experience and productivity; the company needed secure, direct cloud access, consistent security policies, and application‑aware traffic prioritization.
The firm deployed the Aruba EdgeConnect SD‑WAN edge platform with Aruba Boost WAN optimization, Aruba Orchestrator and integrated Zscaler cloud security to enable local internet breakout and a SASE architecture across 220 sites (377 appliances). The solution replaced MPLS with dual broadband links, centralized policy and application‑aware routing, and delivered 35% average application performance improvement, 25% better usability, consistent security enforcement and an expected $1.5M annual OpEx savings, plus resilient, prioritized access for critical apps.
