A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
The Northeastern Tribal Health System (NTHS), a consortium-operated clinic in Miami, Oklahoma serving about 140,000 visits annually across AR, KS, MO, and OK, needed to modernize its aging network. Frequent EHR disconnections, high IT troubleshooting burdens that consumed a third of staff time, and costly infrastructure licensing were disrupting patient care and blocking adoption of digital innovations like robotics, IoT, and cloud applications.
NTHS deployed an Aruba ESP wired and wireless solution—Wi‑Fi 6 APs and Aruba CX 6400, 5400R and 3810 switch series—to provide a high‑performance, secure, and easily managed network. The upgrade eliminated EHR dropouts, reclaimed a third of IT resources, cut licensing costs, and enabled initiatives such as Parata pharmacy robots, 3D dental imaging, IoT refrigeration and HVAC monitoring, and rapid expansion for COVID response, giving the clinic a future‑ready platform for further cloud and automation projects.
