A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
The Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, an iconic luxury hotel, sought to upgrade its guest Wi‑Fi from a basic expectation to a premium, future‑proof service as device counts and guest demands rose. The hotel required 100% coverage and seamless roaming across challenging spaces like its steel‑framed atrium, while also ensuring aesthetics, robust security and a platform for new guest and staff services.
Using Aruba 802.11ac 220‑series APs (over 900 deployed), dual 7200‑series controllers, AirWave management and ClientMatch roaming, Aruba delivered centralized, high‑density Gigabit Wi‑Fi with bespoke AP customization and built‑in security (including WIP). The upgrade immediately boosted guest satisfaction and ratings, enabled mobile check‑in, iPad menus and staff tablet services, improved operational efficiency, and established a secure, scalable foundation for future location‑based innovations.
