A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Trustpower Limited is a New Zealand electricity generator and retailer with 34 power stations, remote call centres and about 750 staff supporting 250,000 customers. Moving into activity-based working at its new headquarters meant no fixed desks and heavy BYOD/guest use, so the company needed a robust, high-density wireless solution to replace an inadequate legacy system and to cope with a congested radio environment.
Working with partner Finao, Trustpower deployed a pervasive Aruba 802.11ac Wi‑Fi network (80+ APs) and AirWave for monitoring and management, delivering reliable connectivity from day one and supporting 250+ concurrent devices across HQ, call centres and remote stations. The rollout improved mobility, collaboration, productivity and staff satisfaction, simplified remote network management, and future‑proofed the estate with plans to add Aruba ClearPass for automated, secure access.
