Case Study: Deloitte achieves a highly connected, energy-efficient smart workplace with HPE Aruba Networking

A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Deloitte Case Study

Aruba underpins network backbone at world’s most connected building

Deloitte Netherlands transformed its Amsterdam headquarters, The Edge—a 15‑floor, 3,300‑person office—into a smart, sustainable workplace and commercial showcase. The challenge was to replace multiple satellite offices with a single, highly connected building that supports 1,500 hot desks, thousands of sensors and evolving location‑based and productivity applications, while delivering measurable energy, water and waste savings and a platform for ongoing innovation.

Deloitte deployed an Aruba solution—500+ Aruba 330 Series access points with BLE beacons, redundant mobility controllers, ClearPass, AirWave and Aruba ALE—to create a secure, flexible wired/wireless backbone. The network underpins connectivity for more than 30,000 sensors and 3,000 users, consolidates siloed data into a single data lake for analytics, simplifies device and access management, cuts energy use (around 70% less than a standard office) and enables continuous IoT-driven productivity improvements and client demonstrations.
