Aruba Remote APs and ClearPass drive revenues and customer engagement for Swiss lottery provider

Swisslos, one of Switzerland’s not-for-profit lottery providers serving the German and Italian regions, needed to modernize and better monetize its strong physical retail footprint of 6,000 points of sale. Its existing managed connectivity was costly, slow to change, and couldn’t support new digital services (notably video streaming) or provide centralized visibility and security, limiting time-to-market and operational control.

Swisslos deployed Aruba Remote APs with ClearPass policy management and AirWave monitoring to enable zero-touch deployment and centralized control across 3,500 PoS. The rollout cut connection and maintenance costs, sped new and temporary PoS provisioning (even over 3G), enabled video streaming and new services like horse-race betting, improved security and device visibility, and established an analytics-driven platform for further revenue growth.
