A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
North Sydney Boys High School (NSBHS), a selective secondary school in New South Wales educating ~900 boys, needed a modern, reliable wireless foundation to support a redesigned library and a planned BYOD program. The school required campus‑wide, high‑performance Wi‑Fi that could handle a growing fleet of student and staff devices, support media‑rich teaching resources, and provide seamless outdoor and indoor coverage without bottlenecks.
Working with Aruba Networks and integrator Matrix CNI, NSBHS deployed 70 Aruba 802.11ac 220 Series Instant Access Points after a successful pilot, creating a mobility‑defined network with indoor and outdoor coverage. The new solution delivers secure, high‑speed access for up to 400 concurrent devices, improves streaming and collaboration in classrooms, supports daily BYOD use, and has enabled more flexible, technology‑rich teaching—NSBHS now plans to add Aruba ClearPass for simplified, role‑based device onboarding.
