Gulftainer, the world’s largest privately owned port management company, moved its headquarters to Sharjah and used the relocation to replace a fragmented, manually managed wireless setup. The IT team faced frequent hands-on configuration, guest-access bottlenecks (50+ daily visitors) and growing security concerns that demanded a centralized, easy-to-manage solution.

Gulftainer deployed an Aruba solution—7030 Cloud Services Controller, 45+ Aruba 115/225 access points and Aruba ClearPass—to provide a single SSID, centralized management, policy-based access and a self-service guest portal. The upgrade now supports 160+ daily users at 144–270 Mbps, reduced IT service-desk tickets by 15%, simplified connectivity with single sign-on, and improved network visibility and security.
