Case Study: Bryanston School achieves campus-wide, secure high-performance WiFi and enhanced learning and pastoral care with HPE Aruba Networking

A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Bryanston School Case Study

Aruba lays platform for educational excellence at leading UK independent school

Bryanston School, a leading independent boarding school set across a 400-acre Dorset campus of historic and modern buildings, needed a modern, scalable network to support individualised learning, pastoral care and growing digital demands. Its rural site, 30+ buildings and cyclical peaks of usage made delivering seamless, secure Wi‑Fi for pupils, staff and visitors a major challenge—especially as the school moved toward digital exams and more device-driven teaching.

Aruba deployed a campus-wide solution—400+ 802.11ac APs, redundant 7000 Series controllers, campus switches, ClearPass for policy-based access, AirWave for management and Beacons for future services—delivering full coverage, automated load balancing and granular visibility. The result: reliable, secure access across the site that supports key apps (Boardingware, eLockers, eChart), increased Wi‑Fi content delivery to over 90%, a dramatic drop in management time (from ~40% to ~5%), and a scalable platform for ongoing teaching and pastoral innovation.
