Aruba Instant solution empowers entrepreneurial incubator and co-working facility to develop #GenMobile workforce

The Center for Education and Economic Development (CEED) in Mission, Texas, launched by the Mission Economic Development Corporation, set out to build a STEAM-focused entrepreneurial incubator in a historically disadvantaged region where local startups lacked technology skills. CEED needed a cost-effective, high-density, scalable and easy-to-manage network to cover a 55,000 sq. ft. facility, support hundreds of daily users, enable IoT and location-based services, and operate with a very lean staff and nonprofit budget.

Working with integrator Frontera, CEED deployed Aruba Instant 802.11ac Wave 2 APs, HPE switches with multi‑gig ports, AirWave network management and HP/HPE infrastructure to deliver zero-touch provisioning, high-performance Wi‑Fi and PoE. The result is reliable wireless across the facility (285 co‑working seats and plans for ~900 daily users), IoT-readiness, easier operations, staff growth and increased demand—helping CEED win grants (including a Texas Workforce Commission award), attract corporate visits and scale to meet tenants’ needs.
