Aruba Ensures Daman Network Access Compliance and Security Innovation

Daman, the UAE’s government-backed specialist health insurer serving nearly 3 million customers, needed to comply with a new national electronic security standard and unify access control across complex wired and wireless environments spanning 12 branches. Existing controls were insufficient for a high-traffic, multi-vendor environment with frequent contractors and guests, creating security gaps and heavy administrative overhead.

Daman deployed Aruba ClearPass as a centralized NAC (virtual appliances across data centre and branches) to provide self-registration, BYOD and guest management, wireless policy enforcement and automated device compliance checks. The rollout enabled single-dashboard control across all locations, seamless authorization of over 45,000 devices per week, immediate cost savings from virtualized appliances, elimination of 30+ daily Wi‑Fi helpdesk calls and stronger security through automated vetting and time-limited access.
