Aruba enables Palexpo to add digital layer as it elevates exhibitor service expectations

Palexpo, a 106,000 sqm exhibition centre in Geneva, needed to modernize its infrastructure to meet rising exhibitor and visitor expectations: pervasive, high‑density Wi‑Fi across seven steel‑packed halls, secure per‑exhibitor domains, scalable management for changing event topologies, and 100% availability to support up to 5,000 users per hall (25,000 sitewide).

Working with Aruba, Palexpo deployed roughly 400 APs (about 300 permanent), two 7200 Series Mobility Controllers and solutions including AirWave, ALE and ARM to automate RF management, reporting and client control. The system guarantees 10 Mb/user and supported 8,000 concurrent press users at the Geneva Motor Show (using 385 APs), delivers turn‑key exhibitor services (streaming, live social walls, bookings, dynamic displays), and provides centralized reporting and a clear roadmap for ClearPass, beacons and location analytics.
