Aruba delivers quality WLAN services to doctors, staff and patients at ZNA

ZNA (Ziekenhuis Netwerk Antwerpen) is a major Belgian hospital network serving over a million people with three general hospitals, six specialized care centers and about 2,500 beds. Its wireless LAN is mission‑critical—delivering patient records, diagnostic data and corporate applications to doctors and staff, plus popular guest access—but needed to operate consistently and securely across sites while providing strong QoS. Although Aruba’s Mobility Controllers met many requirements, ZNA lacked a user‑centric troubleshooting view and struggled to quickly diagnose intermittent client problems across its distributed network of roughly 275 APs and 120 switches.

ZNA deployed Aruba’s AirWave Management Platform to gain centralized visibility and historical client tracking. AirWave enabled faster ticket resolution with the same small team by pinpointing client issues, providing proactive alerts, and consolidating past connection data for troubleshooting. Weekly reports improved management communication and capacity planning, guiding targeted 802.11n upgrades and yielding measurable improvements in network performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
