Aruba delivers new business opportunities for managed telecom services giant

Sify Technologies, founded in 1995, is an Indian provider of integrated internet, network and data center services organized into five business units. The company needed to refresh its wireless infrastructure to eliminate inconsistent performance, dropped sessions and interference from ad-hoc hotspots, while ensuring simple BYOD onboarding, policy-based authentication and easy management—and to turn its internal deployment into a repeatable, revenue-generating customer offering.

Sify deployed Aruba 802.11ac APs, Aruba/HPE switches and routers plus Aruba AirWave, ClearPass and HPE IMC for centralized management and access control. The refresh was rolled out across the corporate site and 23 branches (supporting ~4,000 users), reduced management overhead, improved mobility and user satisfaction, and created a repeatable service that helped win large projects—most notably a 30,000-site banking network for India Posts that brought core banking to 20,000+ post offices—driving new revenue and market opportunities.
