A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Polimeks, a global contractor with over 10,000 employees, was awarded the Ashgabat Olympic Complex project—a 1.4 million sq. m. facility including a 45,000‑seat stadium, 19 sports venues, hotels and apartments. Delivering secure, high‑speed Wi‑Fi for spectators, broadcasters, contractors and staff was critical, but the incumbent vendor withdrew and the aging infrastructure failed under real‑world loads, creating urgent operational and reputational risk.
Polimeks deployed Aruba 802.11ac indoor/outdoor APs, Aruba 7200 controllers, ClearPass for secure role‑based access and AirWave for centralized management, covering 3,660 APs. The solution supported 11,000+ simultaneous users during the AIMAG (average 250 MB/session), provided real‑time RF monitoring and rogue detection, integrated ClearPass with a billing platform, delivered controller/cluster failover, reduced IT effort by ~40 hours/week and lowered ongoing costs.
