A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Clinique Saint Pierre Ottignies (CSPO) is a 430‑bed hospital in Belgium treating tens of thousands of patients annually that needed to share up‑to‑date records and collaborate with many external partners while supporting an increasing number of Wi‑Fi‑enabled medical devices. The existing wireless coverage was inadequate and CSPO required a reliable, always‑on, secure network with role‑based access to protect devices and patient data as part of a broader digital care agenda.
CSPO deployed an Aruba mobile‑first platform—including 420+ indoor and outdoor APs, Aruba 7210 controllers, ClearPass, AirWave, BLE beacons and Meridian plus HPE campus switching—to segment users/devices, secure medical equipment and enable remote patient monitoring and asset tracking. The upgrade delivered campus‑wide reliable Wi‑Fi, secure device connectivity, real‑time monitoring and location services, streamlined clinical workflows and a scalable foundation for EPR integration and other digital care services.
