Aruba Central powers modern learning environment for 1,500 students at University College School

University College School (UCS) is a fee-paying London school serving about 1,500 pupils across four sites. Facing growing digital expectations and a small IT team, UCS needed seamless, high-performance wired and wireless coverage everywhere on campus, strict, tiered security for students, staff, visitors and a public sports facility, and centralized management to reduce operational strain.

UCS deployed an Aruba solution — unified APs and 2930 series switches managed via Aruba Central, ClearPass for zero-trust policy and BYOD orchestration, plus UXI sensors for visibility. The network went live in March 2020 and reliably supported full classrooms, Zoom lessons and Chromebooks, delivering policy-based access, simplified single-pane management of 150 APs, stronger security and freed IT to focus on strategic innovation.
