A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study
Amiri Hospital, a 415‑bed leading healthcare institution in Kuwait, used an expansion as an opportunity to modernise into a smart hospital and achieve HIMSS EMRAM Level 5. The hospital needed a secure, high‑performance wired and wireless network to support digital services, clinician mobility, remote patient care and a broader move toward paperless operations.
Working with Virtus Informatics, Amiri deployed a unified Aruba solution (CX 8400 core, 2930M access switches, 300‑series APs, 7220 controllers, mobility conductors) with AirWave and ClearPass for management and security. The network delivered 99.9% availability, enabled HIMSS Level 5 (on track for Level 6), supported migration of 80% of services to digital channels during lockdown, reduced hospital footfall by 60%, increased appointment efficiency by 120% and continues to support 400+ remote consults per day and clinician mobility with 50+ portable devices.
